Specialist rug care for homes in Oxford
Valuable rugs in Oxford often need more care than standard in-room cleaning. Absolutely Fabulous Persian & Oriental Rug Cleaning specialises in Persian, Oriental, silk and antique rugs, providing careful cleaning for delicate fibres and dyes.
We collect your rug from your home, moving furniture where needed, and take it to our dedicated facility for thorough dust removal, specialist cleaning and controlled drying. This process is ideal for rugs with deep dirt, stubborn odours, natural fibres or delicate colours.
Established in 1989, our appointment-based collection and return service ensures every rug receives individual care from start to finish.
A collect, clean and return service that keeps things simple
Absolutely Fabulous Persian & Oriental Rug Cleaning makes specialist rug care in Oxford simple, with an appointment-based collection and return service so you don’t have to handle or transport a heavy or delicate rug yourself.
We clean a wide range of Persian and Ziegler rugs, as well as fine silk rugs such as Qum/Qom, Turkish Hereke and Kashmir. Our services include specialist rug cleaning, stain and odour treatment, fibre protection and moth treatment, depending on the needs of your rug.
After cleaning, each rug is carefully dried under controlled conditions to help prevent moisture-related problems. Once it is ready, we return it to your Oxford home, unroll and re-lay it, leaving it neatly back in place.
Frequently asked questions
Do you collect rugs from homes in Oxford?
Yes, collection and return are free in Oxford. We visit by appointment, move furniture where needed, lift and roll the rug carefully and transport it to our facility, then bring it back and re-lay it in your home after specialist cleaning is complete.
What kinds of rugs do you clean in Oxford?
We focus on valuable rugs such as Persian, Oriental, silk, antique and other handmade pieces. Those rugs often need more controlled handling and cleaning than general carpet methods provide, especially when fibres, dyes or fringes are delicate.
Can you treat stains, smells or moth concerns too?
Yes, we can help with common problems such as spills, odours and worries about moth activity alongside specialist rug cleaning. The best route depends on the rug's fibres, condition and history, so photos and a few details are very helpful before collection.
